How We Met

Yesterday I spent the day at the Metropolitan Museum of Art taking in the Schiaparelli/Prada exhibit and listening to a discussion about good taste/bad taste with Iris Apfel and Tavi Gevinson. The exhibit was small, but well curated and inspirational as always.

Here are some of the highlights from the discussion:

“Personal style is curiosity about oneself”

“Too much good taste can be a bad thing.” 

“If you have true style you are not trendy… everyone can be trendy, but not everyone has style”
