Flea Market Finds
October 5, 2009
I hit up the flea markets and vintage stores this weekend and found a few great pieces!
At the Garage Flea Market in Chelsea I picked up this necklace… The woman asked for $45 and I got her down to $20! Love the geo shapes!

At Metropolis I picked up these vintage flats for $45, fit perfect and oh so cute with a pair of cuffed skinny jeans!

Vintage Fall Boots
September 30, 2009
Sadly, as I flipped my closet from Summer to Fall I noticed my favorite brown boots had a hole in the toe that was unrepairable. So to the trash they went and the search for a new pair of favorite brown boots began! Looking high and low in vintage stores, new stores and everywhere in between – I finally came across these magnificent vintage boots. With a tiny gold piping peeping out of the front style line and special etching details on the back of the heel, I had to have them! The eagle on the side was just a bonus! For $100 at Zachary’s Smile, these boots will be loved for many seasons to come…

SAKS 5TH AVE FALL WINDOWS
September 25, 2009
Saks Fifth Avenue’s Windows were very inspiring for Fall….
From the things that I want to wear…

To the things I cannot afford…

The windows looked amazing! Have a great weekend!
Recessionista DIY: Revamped Black Heels
September 21, 2009
I bought these Steven shoes 3 years ago at Buffalo Exchange for $20. They have been the most comfortable heels I have owned but I havent worn them lately because of the natural wood heel. I feel like the wooden heel is out dated… so I decided to do a little DIY project!!
BEFORE
Then I picked up some Black Krylon Spray paint and Black Shoe Polish.

I used the painter’s tape to tape off the leather shoe so I could spray paint the wood heel without damaging the leather. I also used a sanding block to rough up the wood heel so the paint would stick to it.
I used several light coats of spray paint to get the shiny finish on the heel. After letting the paint dry, I removed the tape and gave the leather a good polish…
VOILA!! For only $5 I have a new set of heels!!

SPRING 2010 NY FASHION WEEK: Part II
September 13, 2009
Davidelfin had beautiful aquas with steel greys! Loved the colors and the funky looks!

Helmut Lang continues to be one of my favorites. The asymmetric lines and classic color palette makes everything timeless!

Jenni Kayne put sparkle into every separate, how lovely!

Florescent hues at Lyn Devon were breathtaking!

Ports 1961 had textures and prints that were very fresh!

Rachel Comey, another favorite had a delightful collection with amazing print mixing and vintage inspired silhouettes!

Just For Kicks!
June 19, 2009
It has been raining for about 3 weeks here in NY, so I have purchased a new pair of kicks to cheer me up! Although I cannot wear them in the rain… But I got a great deal on them! Miss Sixty’s Tracy Sandal.

And then on my way out the door I fell in love with these Jeffrey Campbell shoes “Attic.” They are the perfect height for walking around the city and still so cute! The inside color is also one of my favorites!

Have a great (and hopefully sunny) weekend!!

These rubber flats are perfect for rainy summer days, and they resemble my new patent leather shoes…

Tap Dancer
May 26, 2009
This weekend I found 2 new favorite pairs of shoes that both resemble tap shoes…

Vintage Bally shoes for $10 at the Hell’s Kitchen Flea Market.

And these lil’ tap-shoe-look-alikes from Aldo for $50

New Shoes
May 5, 2009
I found a new pair of flats this weekend at Anthropologie! They are a little preppy, kind of cute and I love the color! It is a neutral-pink color that surprisingly goes with everything! And the best part was they were only $88, which beats out all of the $200+ pairs that I have been fawning over!

But of course it has been raining for the past 3 days, so I cannot wear them!
Shoe-Shoe Beep-Beep
April 21, 2009
I searched the city high and low this weekend for a perfect pair of summer sandals… My favorite so far are the BCBG Max Azria Tiones Sandals…

Should I save up the $210 for these perfect little summer booties/sandals? They are easier to put on than the traditional gladiator sandal, but they also have an amazing tiny cork heel… not too high for everyday!
