Shoe-Shoe Beep-Beep

I searched the city high and low this weekend for a perfect pair of summer sandals… My favorite so far are the BCBG Max Azria Tiones Sandals…

Should I save up the $210 for these perfect little summer booties/sandals? They are easier to put on than the traditional gladiator sandal, but they also have an amazing tiny cork heel… not too high for everyday!

P.S. I tried on the Urban flats from yesterday’s post and they were uncomfortable and very wide. So my search for cheap, spring flats continues!

Shoe Search

Since we have been having occasional Spring-like days, I have been searching for my must have summer flats. The ones I have come across thus far are either too simple to get excited about or too expensive to purchase knowing that they will only last me a few months (what can I say, the city is hard on the shoes). But today i came across 2 adorable flats from Urban… I have never purchased Urban Outfitters shoes, but I think I will venture over to the shoe section to try these 3 pairs on for size (all under $40!)…

I wouldn’t feel bad about throwing these guys away at the end of the summer, as long as they last that long!

Trina Turk is best known for her bold prints and great use of color, now she is bringing it into our homes! She recently opened a home furnishing store in Palm Springs. Her home furnishings are mirror images of her funky clothing…

I recently came across Cathy Pill’s asymmetrical shapes and abstract prints and I find them ultra inspiring! 

Each print as unique as the silhouette it embodies!

TOPSHOP is Top Notch!

Last night i was one of the lucky girls who got to see the New York Topshop before it was released onto the rest of the public. What more could a girl ask for than free champagne, celebrity sitings (Blondie and Olivia Palermo), great music and discounted priced shopping? I have to say that many parts of the NY shop reminded me of its counterpart,  my beloved London Topshop… the Unique Boutique, the great shoe selection and of course the Top Man section where they sell tees that are tiny enough for any girl! But there were some disappointing parts as well… the underwear section (that spans an entire floor in London) is hidden away in a sad little corner here in New York. The Jewelry (although fabulous) is dispersed throughout the store. Many times I ran into the London Topshop only in search of jewelry, now in NY I would have to conquer three floors and every section to be sure I saw everything bling! I purchased 3 things, but have decided to only keep this necklace… Champagne and Shopping always leads to bad purchases…

The store opens today at 11am on Broadway and Broome in SoHo!
